Colsted Inspire Youth FC U13’s played at home to Oyster Youth FC U13’s in an E League match.

It didn’t start very well with the referee not turning up to the match so a parent from Colsted Inspire stepped in.

At the Start both teams lined up around the Centre circle to take part in the Minutes Silence we done in Honour of 3 Year Old Noah Woods of Brantham. This was felt whole heartedly by parents and coaches/managers especially ours Luke Nadin who had been a part of the search and reduce group searching for Noah like a few other coaches from across the CDYFL.

let’s get to the match.

This was a very strong well played performance by both teams with end to end play.

There wasn’t much between the teams if I’m honest with great passing and strong defending by both teams. In the first half Colsted Inspire Youth FC came out on top after Oyster conceded a penalty for Handball, from a defender losing concentration and thinking he was a Goalkeeper.

Colsted Inspire Youths resident penalty taker ZK stepped up to slot a nice taken penalty kick into the bottom right-hand corner.

After this it was straight back to more of the same end to end play, strong defending and great passing all over the pitch. It was a thoroughly good game to watch and it could have gone either way between these always exceptionally improving teams. Both teams dug in till the very end never giving up.

Honestly as a coach but even more so as a spectator I couldn’t be any more proud of both these teams.
